CHISSL Soccer

Welcome to CHISSL!
(Cecil & Harford Intermediate Spring Soccer League) CHISSL is a spring soccer league for Harford & Cecil County boys and girls of middle school age. The league is now in our 15th year and was formed to prepare children with good soccer skills whose aim it is to play high school soccer.

Middle school boys & girls teams play two games during the week after school. Boys games are played on Mon & Wed, Girls games are played on Tue & Thurs. All games are after 5:15 PM. Junior Varsity teams (JV) consist of 6th and 7th graders, in some cases 5th graders, with good soccer skills, may play JV. Varsity teams consist of 8th graders and in some cases 7th graders may play Varsity. Cost is $70 per child.

CHISSL teams are organized based upon the middle school attended by players. If your school does not field a team then your child will play for the next closest middle school. CHISSL is affiliated with Harford County Parks and Rec and is not associated with the school system. So, while the players will be on teams with their schoolmates, their teachers and school staff will NOT be able to answer any questions about the league.

We expanded the league last year to include a senior division.
CHISSL teams now available for grades 6-11.

Games to begin Wednesday April 4th Schedules to be determined once fields have been allocated. All games to be held on week-nights, with normal starting times for games to be between 5:15 and 6:30 PM. We will move the times back to a later start as the season and daylight allow.

Location and time of practices to be scheduled by team coach at his/her discretion. As soon as fields are made available to CHISSL from Parks & Rec, they will be made available to programs for practices. PLEASE NOTE - if you haven't been assigned a field from the Executive Director, you do not have any authority from CHISSL to use a field!

In the event of rain, coaches will be notified of any game cancellations by 2:30, and an announcement will be put on the CHISSL website by 3:00 PM. IF THERE IS NO ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE WEBSITE, THE GAMES ARE "ON" - subject to the referees' determination of field suitability/safety at game time.
